Your firstvisit, step by step.

Everything first-timers ask us, in the order it happens. It takes about five minutes to read.

What happens

Five steps, start to finish.

  1. 01

    Arrive 10 minutes early

We check you in, show you the lockers and showers, and hand you grip socks if you forgot yours.

  2. 02

    Set-up on the reformer

Your instructor shows you the springs, the foot bar and the straps. Tell them about any injury or pregnancy now, in person.

  3. 03

    The class

Fifty minutes, eight people at most. Every move has an easier option; take it whenever you like.

  4. 04

    The recovery suite

If your intro includes a circuit, the recovery lead times your first round and stays close for the first plunge.

  5. 05

    Afterwards

Shower, drink water, and take it easy. You'll get an email the same day with times for your next class.

What to bring.

  • Grip socks (or buy a pair at the desk, sample price $16)
  • Clothes you can move in, close-fitting so the instructor can see your alignment
  • A water bottle
  • Swimwear if you're booked into the recovery suite
  • Nothing else: towels, shampoo and lockers are here

Recovery suite rules.

Short and simple, so everyone gets the quiet they came for. This is general guidance, not medical advice.

A small infrared sauna lined with pale cedar, a folded towel on the bench
  1. 01Shower before the sauna and the plunge.
  2. 02Two to three minutes is plenty in the plunge. Get out if you feel dizzy, numb or unwell.
  3. 03Drink water before and after heat. No alcohol beforehand.
  4. 04Phones stay in the locker so the suite stays quiet.
  5. 05Ask your doctor first if you are pregnant or have a heart condition or high blood pressure.

All the questions.

Booking and cancellation

How do I book my first class?

Start with the intro offer. Send the form and we reply with a booking link straight away. In the real studio, booking happens in [Booking tool].

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel up to 12 hours before class at no cost. Later than that, or a no-show, uses the class. Recovery sessions can be moved up to 2 hours before.

What if I'm running late?

Doors close 5 minutes after class starts, so the room stays calm and safe. We'll move you to the next class with a space.

Can I freeze a membership?

Yes. Unlimited plans can be frozen for up to two months a year, for travel, injury or anything else.

Is this right for me?

I've never done reformer pilates. Is that OK?

Yes. Reformer Foundations is built for your first few visits, and every instructor sets you up before class.

Is the cold plunge safe for me?

For most healthy adults, short plunges are fine. If you are pregnant, have a heart condition or high blood pressure, ask your doctor first. We can't give medical advice.

Do I need to be fit already?

No. Springs set the load, so the same class works for a first-timer and a marathon runner.

Are classes OK during pregnancy?

Some are, with your doctor's OK. Tell your instructor before class so they can adjust the work. Please don't put health details in the web form.

At the studio

Can I come just for recovery?

Yes, [number] free spaces behind the studio, plus street parking. [Bus route] stops two blocks away.

Do you have showers?

Two private showers with towels, shampoo and body wash. Lockers lock with a code.

Do you sell gift cards?

In the real studio, yes. In this demo, gift cards are not set up.

Ready when you are.
